Our Expat Adventure

In May 2011, our family of four moved to Mannheim, Germany for an unforgettable expat assignment. Living abroad came with its challenges—adjusting to a new culture, language, and way of life—but it also gave us memories to last a lifetime and brought us closer together. Looking back, the only thing that could’ve made it even more meaningful would’ve been having Ava with us, but the Lord blessed us with her after we returned home in April 2013. Prost to the journey!

Oktoberfest: Part II

As promised, Matt’s friend Dan got me some more pictures from Oktoberfest (I thought they were worth sharing with you!!). As you can see from the photos below, fun was definitely had by all four guys. And, with all of the parades, colorful tent decorations, food, beer, rides, etc. you can see why on average 6 million people come to take in the German Oktoberfest celebrations each year! I am happy that Matt got to TRULY experience the "real deal" with three of his closest friends!
