Mediterranean Vacation: Venice, Italy

 FRIDAY, May 18th
We spent the entire day wondering around the streets of Venice; a city that was established in the year 421 AD, consists of 119 islands, 400 bridges and has 23 million tourists each year.  It was a perfect day and we “had” to treat ourselves to Geleto twice:).  Venice may definitely be my favorite city or at least, for sure in the top 5.  I could have spent all day on the Gondola, watching people and taking in the beauty of the old buildings.  It was different, to say the least, to see ambulances and the fire department all have their own designated boats and to see all of the stores and restaurants receive their goods via boat.  It was truly a world all its own.
