Another fun play date...

Today, we had another fun play date with our friends the Thompsons.  Elle enjoyed swimming in the pool with Ellie and Will, though ALL the kids were freezing; the sun was behind the clouds and it would rain off and on.  But with that being said, all the kids were continually laughing and having a good time.  Britta did not want anything to do with the pool…she said, “cold, cold” and was content with playing in their large garden (a.k.a. yard).

Then this evening, we were able to convince Matt to take our 3.5 mile walk/jog with us!  Though unfortunately, it started to really rain on us and we had to make a mad dash back home after only 2.25 miles.  Britta was complaining very loudly, repeatedly telling us that she needed a “coat, coat” and that it was, “rain, rain.”  While Elle on the other hand, was telling us how much she loved getting wet and taking a walk in the rain!  Elle kept asking Britta, “are you not enjoying the rain Britta?”  Needless to say, the walk was not the most relaxing/enjoyable, but it was fun doing this activity as a family. 

Tomorrow, the girls and I do not have too much planned.  If it is not raining in the morning, we plan to visit the local Farmers Market and get some more fruit.  If it is raining, we may visit the nearby Mall and begin buying Elle some new fall school clothes!
